The Illumina NextSeq 2000 is a powerful, highly scalable benchtop sequencer designed to deliver high-throughput, multi-application sequencing. Powered by XLEAP-SBS chemistry, it features advanced super-resolution optics and patterned flow cells to achieve exceptional data quality, faster run times and a significantly lower cost-per-gigabase than legacy models like the NextSeq 550.
At the Genomics Facility, we have found the NextSeq to be an ideal platform for microbiome sequencing applications as well as for small genome sequencing and proof-of-concept projects.
