The Electronics Shop provides project development and instrument repair as well as consulting, design, prototyping, fabrication and repair services for faculty, students and staff. Equipment repair functions and operations are performed to discrete component level, subsystem boards and system-level on custom and/or modified equipment.

Research scientific glass apparatus for Glassblowing is a highly specialized process for support for ASU of researchers specialized projects utilizing scientific glass blown apparatus. Services include the design, construction and maintenance of sophisticated glass apparatus and glass high vacuum systems.

The Innovation Hub provides students with ample room to dream big, brainstorm new ideas and create plans to make those ideas happen. The space allows students the room and tools they need to prototype and build creative projects using a variety of hand tools and other state-of-the-art equipment.

The Machine Shop provides a complete set of design, manufacturing and prototyping services utilizing several highly specialized staff for assistance in most fields of research. Our services can deliver proof of concept prototypes as well as entire project instrumentation for ASU and peer institution research and private industry companies.

The Self-Service Shop allows trained users to work on ASU projects utilizing industry level equipment to manufacture needed items for projects such as graduate thesis or research. Utilizing the available manual mills and lathes, faculty, staff and students can learn the basics of machining while utilizing this equipment to manufacture and deliver proof of concept prototypes.

The 6000 sq ft facility has equipment and facilities for cubesat development and operation including electronics development, environmental test (vibe, TVAC, anechoic), and operations (onsite ground station). This space makerspace connects external partners with ASU students, faculty, and staff to produce solutions for space exploration without large investments in specialty equipment.
