Description
The Isotope2 is a second-generation sample injection system designed specifically for the determination of isotope ratios by multi-collector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (MC ICP-MS). Design features take into consideration the challenges associated with the determination high precision (<10 ppm = 0.001%) isotope ratios in less than 1 mL of sample volume.
Features:
- Dual syringes allow rapid sample preparation and best-available signal stability compared with conventional self-aspirating nebulizers.
- The Flurowand automated sample cap handling allows smaller volume samples without significant evaporative loss and leads to total sample consumption applications while maintaining exceptionally clean (HEPA filtered) sample staging environment.
This system is an asset because it simplifies and speeds up session setup with minimal need for tuning compared with conventional self-aspirating sample introduction systems. Small volumes, less than 1 mL can be introduced at variable injection rate which opens possibilities for automated intensity matching for sample-standard bracketing methods.
