To get started at the Preclinical Imaging Facility, please review the following information.

Required safety training

Training is provided through Workday Learning. Customers from outside of ASU will receive access after onboarding with Core Research Facilities staff. Contact [email protected] with any questions.

Once you have access, you will need to complete the following training before working in our labs.

• Fire Safety
• Hazardous Waste Training
• Laboratory Safety
• MRI Risk Assessment
• Magnet Safety Quiz

MRI safety certification

• Download and review the Instructions on MRI Safety.
• Complete the Magnet Safety Quiz.

• Complete the MRI Risk Assessment.
• If you will be using animals in your research, fill out the Protocol Information Form.

Schedule equipment use or training

All users must have an account on iLab in order to schedule instruments and training.

1. Go to the Preclinical Imaging Facility on iLab.
2. Sign in to iLab using the button in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
3. Select the “Schedule Equipment” tab at the top of the screen.
4. Find the equipment you wish to schedule or receive training on, and click either the “View Schedule” or “Request Training” button to the right, depending on your need.
5. If you are requesting training, fill out the form, then click on the “save completed form” button. After saving your form, click the “submit request to core” button at the bottom.
6. If you are scheduling equipment, click and drag on the timeframe you would like to schedule your reservation. A window will pop up that will allow you to verify your reservations details and provide payment information before saving the reservation.
