The Ultrafast Laser Facility offers advanced laser technologies for spectroscopic and imaging measurements to observe chemical reactions in real time, for ASU and external customers.

Users must complete safety training and a visual acuity exam before gaining access to the facility. Once you have access, facility staff will train you to use the equipment, which you can schedule through iLab.

Required safety trainings

Training is provided through Workday Learning. Customers from outside of ASU will receive access after onboarding with Core Research Facilities staff.

Required trainings include:

• Fire Safety
• Hazardous Waste Training
• Laboratory Safety
• Laser Safety Training

To gain access to the facility

After completing the safety trainings, please follow the instructions on the Service & Training Requests page in iLab

To schedule time on the equipment

1. Log in to iLab and navigate to the UFL Schedule Equipment tab.
2. Click on one of the drop-down menus to find the equipment you wish to schedule.
3. Click on the “View Schedule” button next to the equipment name.
4. Click and drag on the calendar to create an appointment.
