Time Resolved Laser Spectroscopy

DropBox Recording

Time-resolved spectroscopy is a powerful tool for tracking dynamic processes in real time and revealing intermediate states in fast reactions. Time resolution of femtosecond (one quadrillionth of a second) can be achieved usingshort pulselasers. In this talk, I will introduce some commonly used ultrafast laser spectroscopic techniques. The second part of the talk will be focused on instrumentations available at ASU Ultrafast Laser Facility and their measuring capabilities. Examples of how we study the fast processes occurring in biological, chemical, and material systems will be given.

TEC Talks: Technology, Expertise, Collaboration. The TEC Talks seminar series, presented by ASU Core Facilities, focuses on cutting edge technology and its practical application. The objective is to drive innovation in discovery, from project conception and funding through data analysis and publication. The goal is achieved by addressing scientific problems with customized solutions and fostering collaborations between researchers and core facility scientists.
